Double Thunk

Get your own Thursday Thunk!

I forgot to do this last week so here is a double dose!

THIS WEEKS:

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Kimber, the color yellow and the number 24.

1. Obama tattoos. What do you think of people who got one?
Maybe not a lot of people got the word Obama tattooed but a good number probably got the day or something related tattooed. Or they will once we see how he does as prezy.

2. How many blogs do you read a day, and do you always comment?
I read my cousin's blog and this blog every day and I don't always comment. Never on the second and if the occasion calls on the first.

3. Do you know to swim?
Yes. I love swimming!

4. Describe your favorite shirt.
It's dark purple with a mustard yellow trim on the collar. It has a U shaped opening in the back and a green/purple/brown/gold patterned stripe around the waist. It would be perfectly perfect if the stripe went all the around the waist and not just half.

5. What is one thing that is ALWAYS on your grocery list? Extra points for imagination and creativity. biggrin.gif
I really can't be creative on this because I can't just imagine something that's not on my grocery list and you can't get too creative grocery shopping. It's always skim milk.

6. Have you ever done any acting?
My 2nd and 6th grade plays. In second grade I was a lighting bug in the musical Goin Buggy and in 6th grade I was a lady in waiting with one line in Robina Hood. Yes, that is correct. It was a sequel to Robin Hood.

7. I just made a delicious smelling dinner with mystery meat. Will you have some?
If you don't tell me what the mystery meat is ever, probably.

8. If you are driving in the rain and you see a person walking along the road, do you intentionally try to splash them?
No! Meannn.

9. Yearbooks- do you still have any from school?
Every single one.

10. What kind of shampoo do you use?
Right now it's Aussie. I usually switch around though. I also like Panteen Pro-V and Herbal Essences.

11. And just to counter Ber's first question from last week.... What's the hottest temps you have experienced?
A hundred something.

LAST WEEKS:

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Berleen, the color green and the number 1256.

1. Whats the coldest temps you've experienced?
Somewhere in the negative teens probably.

2. Whats for dinner tonight?
Ravioli and salad.

3. Would you consider this job in Australia?
Yes!

4. What was your favorite subject in high school?
English and history.

5. How many hours a day is your tv on?
Only two or three nowadays. I used to watch SO much.

6. Have you ever received an award?
Just cheesey one like 'Best Smile' and 'Most Organized'.

8. Do you think Bud should do the Thursday Thunk meme?
Sure.

9. How many browser tabs do you have open right now?
Just one.

10. If you are a parent, have you or did you ever put Vicks VapoRub on your children under the age of 2?
I am not a parent but my parents used to put Vicks on me. I think I was older than 2 though.

11. If you had to pick one insect to infest your house for 1 day and after that day they would just suddenly vanish, which insect infestation would you pick?
Oh, ewww. Would I have to be in my house during this infestation? Probably mosquitoes because I despise them.

Checking...magenta and white striped.

13. What was the last think you watched on tv?
Jeopardy last night.

15. Tell us about one absolutely wonderful thing that happened to you as a teenager and every time you think of it, it brings a smile to your face.
My teenage years are boring.

Do your own Thursday Thunk!

1. Are you a celebrity news junkie?
Kind of. I hate how people obsess over celebrities but I do read pinkisthenewblog daily because it's funny.

2. Have you or anyone in your family ever had braces?
Yes, I had braces in 9th grade through 11th. Now my teeth are pretty, see :D

3. Name 4 things in your garage that you don't think anyone else has in theirs.
I don't have a garage but we have a big basement we use for storage so...snorkling equipment, a huge bird cage, really old books of classics like The Tale of Two Cities that could be really early editions, and my Magic Attic Club Megan doll. wow, I really couldn't think of anything.

4. Do you order Girl Scout cookies?
In the past I haven't but last year my roommate was leader of a troop and I bought too many and this year, a woman I work, her daughter was selling them so I bought some. I think I still have some...ew.

5. If you have a cat or a dog, what brand of dog/cat food do you feed them?
Kitteh-God eats Meow-Mix, which is left out for him when he's hungry, and gets half a can of Fancy Feast in the morning and the rest at night.

6. When you cook, do you use measuring cups/spoons?
Always! If not, you can really ruin a recipe! A fraction more of an item, especially one with strong taste, will totally change how a meal tastes.

7. If you were stranded on a desert island, how many sand castles would you build?
Probably 3 or 4 then I would come to hate sand.

8. Whats one thing you own too many of?
Perhaps some people would think I own too many books. Or maybe shoes and purses or clothes since even though I have a lot, I don't wear half of them but I can't seem to give them away.

9. If given the chance to go to the moon, would you?
OMG YES!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!
10. Talk radio - listen or not?
Not. The only time I don't mind when djs are playing is the HOTT 99.5 morning show. I despise all else, especially people who talk forever during the countdowns.

11. When you put silverware in the dishwasher or in the drainer to dry, do you put the handles up or down?
Up! I grab them by the handle so they go with the handle up.

12. Video Games for kids - good or not?
They're fine as long as you don't waste your life away playing them. Sometimes limits have to be set.

13. Share a website with us.
icanhascheezburger.com
14. Water - bottle or tap?
Either is fine.d my

15. Have you ever eaten a giant jawbreaker, the ones that are the size of the palm of your hand, all the way to the end?
No, it takes too long!

New Year Thunk

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Kimber, the color sienna and the number 2009.

Visit Thursday Thunks here!

1. Would you rather have a pet hippo or a pet elephant?
Elephant! I hear hippos are incredibly mean!!

2. If locked in a cell and music blasted constantly 24/7, what would NOT drive you crazy that might annoy other inmates?
Music sung by Disney channel stars like the Jonas Brothers or Demi Lovato. Or music from musicals!! Yeah, that would probably drive a lot of people crazy.

3. If you see a penny on the ground, do you stop and pick it up?
No, thank you. I don't really like pennies.

4. Sea salt or table salt?
Table salt on food, sea salt on chips!

5. Do you use bar soap or liquid soap?
Liquid when washing hands and shower gel when washing body. Bar soap gets too icky and sticks to the sink.

6. What/when was the worst travel experience of your life?
Very good question! I almost was about to say I've never had one but here...I studied abroad in Ireland in Fall 2006 (BEST TIME OF MY LIFE!) and bought my tickets months before I left in August. When it was time to come home in December, the Aer Lingus lady only put my bags through to Boston, which was my connecting flight I was taking with my dear friend, Meg, and she didn't pay attention. Upon arriving in Boston I found that my connecting flight to DC had been moved up by an hour and I had to wait and get my luggage and then run across the terminal from internationals to domestic only to have to wait in an extremely long line since it was close to the holidays. Needless to say I missed my flight and was dehydrated and was carrying an extremely heavy backpack, huge suitcase, a huge grocery bag with souvenirs, and my laptop which were all packed with three months worth of clothes and souvenirs. Yeah, not fun. Ended up getting a connecting flight for a few hours later and landed in DC after midnight but that was pretty awful.

7. You are at someone's house for dinner. It's an important dinner such as meeting the In Laws, with the boss or an important client. The food comes out and all homemade. You take the first bite and nearly puke into your plate. You're sure you'll end up with food poisoning. Do you eat it, pretend to eat and spit it into your napkin or some other clever way to get yourself out of eating it?
Pretend to eat some of it and then come up with a clever way of getting myself out of it, such as saying it's delicious but I made the mistake of having a very late lunch. Then maybe suck up and ask if I could bring my plate home for later haha

8. Do you watch any judge/court shows?
Occasionally since my dad is OBSESSED with Judge Judy and pretty much all of them. Thankfully, not that I have a fulltime job, neither of us are home when it's on so I don't have to. Yay!

9. Is your nose pierced?
Noooo. It can look cute on some people but I'd never do it.

----

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a much more exciting evening then I did...I sat at my computer editing TOS. I'm pretty much finished organizing some queries but I've decided to read over the novel one last time and do some more editing. A writer's work is never done!

None.

Counting...13 not including any type of art. oh wait...25. I just saw a whole bunch more on top of my book shelf.

5. Do you decorate the outside of your house for Christmas?
Yes, of course! Fake garland and white lights go around the porch railing along with red bows.

I don't think I have a favorite, although my Christmas singer favorites are Kristin Chenoweth, Mariah Carey, Whitney Housten, Michael Buble, and Josh Groban.

I don't fill stockings. That's Santa's job! This year he brought me candy, make up, and LOTS of knee high stockings!

8. How many times a week do you charge your cell phone?
Just once.

9. Do you own any exercise equipment? What are they?
Yes, a treadmill we bought last year. We also have weights hidden somewhere but we don't really use them. I'm trying to start on the treadmill again, finally.

10. What's your cookie jar look like?
A white goose with a blue bow around it's neck! We've had it forever.

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you have a wonderful, safe holiday. My mom and dad and I just finished stockings and now I'm waiting for Mom to finish our delicious Christmas traditional breakfast which consists of yummy egg's Benedict, hash browns, and orange juice! Then we'll get to opening presents.

I have the all the 25th - 5th off (except the 29th) so soon it'll be time to start querying again!

Thursday Thunks

I know this is only supposed to be about my querying but what's a writer without things to stir your mind and write about? Here's a little thing called Thursday Thunks. In their own words it's:
a blog meme for those who need a little kick in the butt to find something to post about. Your blog posts/answers to TT's can be type or pictures, doesn't matter! YOU pick, not us, we just give you the assignment (yep, just like English class... only we won't grade your spelling & grammer).

I read about it on my cousin's blog, The Spotted Sparrow. She makes AMAZING arts and crafts that you should go look at and buy right now (end shameless family plug).

1. If you had to have a brain transplant and had to choose between a cat brain and a dog brain, which would you choose?
Cat.
2. Why do you think bananas are shaped the way they are?
Probably through fruit evolution.
3. Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip?
Mayonnaise! Miracle Whip is much sweeter and therefore strange as a condiment.
4. Do you use keyboard shortcuts?
Yessir, especially during my day job. Crtl+C and CRTL+V save my life and seconds of awkward phone silence.
5. Are you a member at InsanityCafe Forums & Arcade? If not, you should be.
Nice plug TT. No, I've never heard of it. But if it means fun and games, perhaps I will check it out tomorrow.
6. Where I live it was a low of -19 degrees this morning - what was your low last night/this morning?
Pretty much about 21 million years ago as in the ice age. It never gets that cold here.
7. Do you like hard boiled eggs?
I like the white part and only the yellow if it's mixed up for delicious deviled eggs!
8. Have you ever drank green beer?
Why, yes I have. It t'was once upon a summers eve in the city of Aachen, Germany (shameless cousin plug again).
9. Whats your favorite cleaner?
Windex and Pledge, depending on what I'm cleaning.
10.White or whole wheat bread?
Both. I try to do whole wheat though.
11. Everyone has some type of phobia - whats yours?
SNAKES! UGHHH nasty!! And not much of a phobia but I also dislike worms and caterpillars. Pretty much anything with too little legs or too many. And big spiders.
12. Aren't you glad there weren't any Christmas related meme questions?
No! I love Christmas! I hope there are some next Thursday, seeing how that's Christmas :)

I hope you use this to help you thunk!
